My Story
From Credit Manager to Credit Insurance Broker
With over a decade of experience working in mercantile credit as Credit Manager, and subsequent 4 years as a Credit Insurance Underwriter with the Guarantee Company of North America, I joined Coface Canada as an independent agent in 2005, and founded CreditAssur Inc. one year later in 2006 as a job requirement.
Having been asked to dissolve the company to become an employee of Coface, I launched CreditAssur as a completely independent specialty Insurance Broker January 1st 2011 and in May 2011 I acquired another specialty broker’s book of business.
I was the first woman elected to the Receivables Insurance Association of Canada (RIAC) board of directors in 2014 and I now serve as the Chairwoman of the board on the Executive Committee.
During the pandemic I united my specialist broker competitors throughout Canada to operate as a group with the objective of helping each other find coverage in difficult markets and discuss best practices and innovation in order to improve the product for all of our mutual clients.

I have a teaching certification from the Chambre de l’Assurance de Dommage, and I teach Accredited Trade Credit Insurance courses to generalist Insurance Brokers.
